Holland Football
Holland School Board of Education has denied student requests to add football to its athletic agenda for decades. finally i feel we may get a chance to let the public decide the issue rather than be once again subjected to the personal opinion of the BOE members. i recently submitted a petition to let the public decide the issue according to the BOE policy standards they communicated to me and am waiting to see if they will abide by them. Holland citizens may finally get the chance to decide for itself the long standing issue. Unfortunately like the movie Footloose the odds are against the students. the demographics of the town are mostly seniors who care more about a minimal tax increase than the educational prospects of adding football. soon we will see though what the voting populace stands for.... students or their pocketbooks...
