Thumbs up Buffalo-Niagara vs. Buffalo

When you say or see the word Buffalo do you mean the Buffalo-Niagara region?
I think many people leave this forum because they live outside Buffalo. It should be renamed to the Buffalo-Niagara region. this way we can include more visitors and replies.
Any comments?

I grew up in East Aurora (but no longer call the area home).

I left the area in 1978; in my 21 years in WNY I never heard of "Buffalo-Niagara" anything.

It was either "Western New York" (Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Erie, Wyoming, Niagara, Orleans counties) or "the Niagara Frontier" (Erie and Niagara counties).

Before there was Metro Bus, there was the NFT -- Niagara Frontier Transit.

I remember a Chamber of Commerce commercial from 1970 (give or take) that had the slogan "Your future is here...on the Niagara Frontier..."

If you choose to call it anything, call it "Buffalo / WNY". My opinion, for what it's worth!
