As to the other poster who said State was like HS, I heartily concur. [I attended in the late 1960s/early 1970s and even when it was difficult to get in, it was the same.] We had Regents scholarships (after a 6 hour exam) which would - if you got one - pay 100% of tuition. Turns out I had to take no Freshman English due to the score on the Scholarship exam. Other courses used the texts I had in HS and several classes in my field required I "forget" all I had done before and start on a basic level. I went through, changed my major from design to teaching and found it all too simple. My Masters at SUCB was much the same. My other masters at SUNY Buffalo was what college/university was ... State is too easy. JMO.
