Waterfront Place update: 31 of 49 SOLD, three others leased. Work on additional town homes will be underway "soon"- they'll be shorter and somewhat smaller than the first four that are complete.

AM&A's Warehouse Conversion is underway this week by local urban developer Rocco Termini. The $11million project should include a total of 48 loft apartments, and a large amount of commercial space.

Still waiting. The Peace Bridge Authority insists on taking out a neighborhood to expand the plaza at the base of the bridge and there's a strong, vocal contingent against that. The environmental process is wrapping up, but expect a lawsuit before they start work on the second bridge.

Not really. The Peace Bridge Authority has done everything they can over the last 20 years to make it a slum--in order to justify its demolition--but they never really succeeded. A lakefront neighborhood like this--great architecture, close to downtown--ought to be one of the premiere residential areas of Buffalo. Instead it's going to be a truck plaza.
