Well good... don't come back! Lol, jk.
There is a swarm of new development going on, it's truly amazing (especially in the past few weeks) how fast developments are popping up all over the Queen City, with a lot more interest downtown.

Hahaha, yeah! Damon Morey LLP just moved in last friday with 200 workers on 2 floors of Class A office space. You can definitely see through the glass, they have some blinds up, but not so much in the office space.

Well I left years ago only to come back to raise my children (at least the first 12 years) and ended up having to move ten years ago for my husbands job. But we came back faithfully every year for Christmas and summer vacation.
After living in sunny, beautiful (and way too hot) Scottsdale, Arizona, we moved back east. The closest we could get was Pittsburgh. Which, even though the city itself is doing better than Buffalo, lacks in many, many ways and is terribly inconvenient to live in. What they consider "Suburbs" here are really more like areas around Alden, Clarence. And there are few places here that have sidewalks. The city does but the "burbs" don't. Little kids get hit by cars and killed left and right. An area north of Pittsburgh called Cranberry is beginning to build suburban areas that are more like the burbs in the rest of the country. You know, with sidewalks, stores and shoulders of the road.
We are trying to figure out some way of moving and living back in Buffalo (the Williamsville area) but it's hard to find a corporate job at this time.
I'm not crazy about the snow, but the rest of the year makes up for it. And the BEACH - I miss the beaches!
Back on topic - the new buildings look wonderful! I'll be back up in a couple of weeks and will drive around to check them all out!

I don't think it's fair to expect Obama to undue the last eight years of Republican rule that only cared about the already wealthy areas of the nation. Not to mention the last couple of Clinton's years too.
It's going to take time to rebuild, but if you check out the government page that lists all the future activity, you will see areas like upstate NY, Detroit and Ohio are getting WAY more investment then they have seen in the past 20 years. To me, that's a start.

I disagree, I was an officer in the military for years and I LIVED in the middle east for years. Being in Iraq cost this county a lot more than just money. I lost many friends because of the useless war.

You should difinitely take a look for yourself first-hand. Especially near Delaware Ave. where we are experiencing a building boom! I'll post some more updates soon.

Do you really believe the war in Iraq was started over terrorists?
