I think it's great that this is happening, and I'll admit it's a rare victory, but it's not a real victory as it has been won on the backs of every American who pays their taxes.
And there were never farmers dating back to the 1930's who were subsidized to cut crop production or not to grow a crop at all to help the nations food supply.

What did Idaho get for stimulus money?

Larkin District Looking Up

Preliminary work has started on the gas station conversion- it'll be either commercial or retail space. Plans for the three-story building behind it are still in flux (office is likely, but perhaps residential?- no definite word from CityView/Larkin).

Give them time. FN is growing and expanding into other states. However, they are not going to go broke by putting up a high rise in the city. First Niagara has roots in Lockport when it was originally called Lockport Savings Bank. The headquarters, which is a decent sized building, is on Transit on the Erie/Niagara county border. I wonder if they would really want to move their headquarters or not.

First Niagara announced they are moving their headquarters to the Larkin building pictured above.
