My guess is that it was taken from city hall looking towards the river(west). The building is the new Blue Cross building. Waterfront condos are beyond. Pick #6 is the same from the river looking back towards city hall(east).

Very good
Yes that's Waterfront Village behind the new Blue Cross Corporate headquarters building on edge of Downtown Buffalo.

Hoping for construction is greedy and short-sighted. Perhaps the ONLY thing Buffalo has going for it is its architectural treasures. Because Buffalo has been in decline practically every year since 1946 when it peaked, it has the highest percentage of old buildings- it looks great. Putting in a bunch of modern junk will spoil it.

Some modern buildings built on surface lots downtown would enhance and reflect the beauty of Historic Buffalo on itself - a modern and historical city looking to improve and look to the future .

Progress is being made for the 26 story high rise Condominium Tower at Gates Circle. The demolition of the vacant Park Lane restaurant (circa 1974) is underway. Groundbreaking for the tower will be held soon. What an impressive project - but 2 miles out of downtown - soon Downtown Buffalo will be a large stretch of tall buildings...someday lol The Article: Buffalo Rising | Park Lane Restaurant Demo OK'd

I would love to see a stretch of residential brownstone townhomes go in the revitalized waterfront area. I think it would be a perfect match to the old canal feel they are going for down there w/great proximity to downtown for those working there! Just my idealistic thought
Ohh..after further exploration I see there is great debate over the waterfront village development. Sorry to say I haven't much followed it.
