Default Cleveland Hill SD.........

Now, I know it is a district in Cheektowaga that is close to the Kensington neighborhood in the city of Buffalo. Is this a nice area? Is it true that there is some type of public housing there? How are the schools? Is it safe? Is this a more middle class area or what?

Look at a map. Look at Delevan Ave where it runs from Buffalo into Cheektowaga. You go from ghetto to lower class in a few blocks.

I use to live in the Cleve Hill District. There is a public housing area by Kensington Ave area. Not the best area to live but not the worse either. There are apts around the area.

CW1095 is on a distinguished road
I live on Beale Avenue smack middle in the Cleve Hill area and love it. It is close to everything. The housing is inexpensive, the neighboorhood is great, I walk the dog, have fires outdoors, and never have had any issues. The Kensington low income housing is on the one side but there aren't any problems in the neighborhoods. The school just made a bunch load of capital improvements to the school buildings and athletic facilities. I moved in 4 years ago and have already convinced 4 other family/friends to buy houses in the area. Schools arent Clarence, but they arent Buffalo either, I would say middle of the road.

I grew up in the Cleveland Hill Area and parents lived there right up until about a month ago when they moved into a senior apartment community. (anyone wanna buy a nice house?).

The area is still middle-class and relatively safe but east of Harlem Avenue tends to have less crime than the western side. But we're talking mostly property crime. I don't think there is much violent crime anywhere in the district.

The apartments near Kensington Ave are NOT public housing. (I grew up a block away from them). They were a private apartment complex known as "Kensington Village" for many years. I hear it is now being transformed into a gated a student housing community.

The low-income housing you may have heard of is called Cedargrove Heights and is located in the area bounded by the Kensington Expressway, Harlem Road and Genesee Street. The old-timers refer to it by its original name, "The Tiorunda Projects".

There are so many areas in the suburbs of Buffalo that are very nice.

Many are very affordable. I would not want to park my car in that area, let alone live there.

Two blocks in the wrong direction is a very seedy neighborhood (to say the least)..

I grew up in Tonawanda, and delivered magazines to put myself through college, so I know every single area in Western New York..
