Default Save cheektowaga

Alright.. the rented homes in Buffalo are becoming Moderator cut: inappropriate by day, so the scumbags are moving towards Cheektowaga.

This is a message to you landlords.. HAVE SOME DECENCY.

Look what happened to the Broadway Market area. It got turned into a SLUM!! Do not let this happen to my town.

Clean up your yard, paint your house, cut your bushes, cut your grass, rake your leaves, shovel your sidewalks, be friendly with new DECENT neighbors...basically, DONT BE A DIRTBAG.

The construction on harlem is promising.
The student housing near eggert is promising.
Airport construction is promising.
Walden Galleria construction is promising.

Open a Sonic Drive-Thru on Union Road across from Cheektowaga Central where the old Applebees is located. That complex is completely abandoned except for a Tanning bed, we need something exciting to spice up the area. Being the only Sonic within 200 miles eachway.. would bring people to the area in droves.

Like I mentioned in another thread, extend the subway to connect to the Galleria mall and the Airport.. place a polic officer on every train to curb the hoodrat problem.

Let's go Cheektowaga!

Give me a break. Drive down broadway near the broadway market.

That will be all of cheektowaga in the next 20 years of nothing is done.
Yeah, why create jobs? Who needs jobs in a recession? Great post, keep them coming!

I didn't realize that Cheektowaga belonged to 1 person. I din't realize someone could own a town. There are many residents who live in that town.

As for the rail system it is not economically feasible to even think of that in our economy now.

And opening a Sonic would due nothing in helping out anyone. All that would be is another chain fast food resturant which there are plenty of now.

And aurora, wtf are you talking about? The majority of people in Cheektowaga are OLD. What happens when they pass away? The same thing that happened to the area surrounding the Broadway market.

A majority of people are old no matter where you go in any town. And no sonic would not be a good business deal in Chktg. It would only cause more problems with the traffic on Union Rd. Teds and Applebees didn't make it there either when they were there.

Teds lost its lease I believe. If you see the lines in that place every day, you will know that it is a profitable business.

As for a Sonic, I beleive that would be another flash in the pan type deal. Remember Krispy Kreme? Where are they now? Tim Hortons put them right out of business.

As for Cheektowaga, there are areas that are TERRIBLE. I had no idea. I was looking at properties, and some areas remind me of the inner city of Buffalo, only with higher taxes.

There are some NICE areas of Cheektowaga soon, with proud owners, but I hope that they can hold the inner city element out of that area.

Take a trip to the Walmart on Harlem and Walden, or any other business in that area if you don't beleive that Cheektowaga is being invaded by the inner city.

It is such a shame..

I live in Cheektowaga near the airport and I think my area is still a pretty nice place to live. Everyone takes care of their houses, it's safe and the school district (Maryvale) is a good one. What areas of Cheektowaga are getting bad, I don't go anywhere past the old thruway mall, is that the area that you're talking about? If I need to go to Walmart I go to the one on transit because I have heard that the one on Walden is getting pretty bad. I hope all of Cheektowaga doesn't go downhill that would be a shame.

I live by the UCrest firehall. Near genesee and union in Cheektowaga.

Two days ago, the mechanic shop on Genesee near Beach was robbed.. the owner was shot in the leg by three black men from, you guessed it, BUFFALO... the east side!

We have to keep this slum out of our area. Get pistol permits to protect your family and clean up your areas because dirtags will be less intrigued to move to a NICE/Upkept area. Their life of crime and drugs is motivated to buy themselves a new set of rims, not to keep their home looking nice and presentable.

And for those of you who say, oh wah wah there are no jobs in Buffalo...

Why are there no jobs!? WHO WOULD OPEN A BUSINESS IN THE HOOD!?!!? Clean up your area, increase jobs, decrease crime. Taaa Daaa!

Also, in the spring the HSBC Bank on Union in Cheektowaga, was held at gun point... by scum from Buffalo.

The owner of the new McDonalds at George Urban and Union in Cheektowaga was attacked and robbed in March.

And in August, on CLOVER PLACE.. MY STREET.. a home was robbed during the day time by 2 thugs from the east side.. SHOCCCKKKING!

I'll be damned if I lose my neighborhood to slum!

Default Hit and Run and no evidence

Cheektowaga is a target because it's an easy target. A few miles down Walden or Genesee or Broadway and you're home free. It's a big area and there are only so many patrol cars. Keep an eye out for your neighbors, and if it looks out of place, it probably is. You hate to say "profile", but better that then "I should have done something".

Though I don't think anyone would be interested in talking about a Cheektowaga resident arrested a few months ago for illegally dumping garbage in the City of Buffalo. How about the number of suburbanites pick up on warrants by Buffalo police?

Nah, we'll just listen to more demeaning stereotypes and discriminatory remarks. Way to kick Buffalo more.
