Default Lackawanna......

I know it was a former steel city and all, but I was wondering how do things look in Lackawanna now? Are there abandoned steel mills in the city? Are they doing new things there? How is the city in terms of crime? How are the schools there? Is it strictly blue collar in character or does it vary depending on where you are in the city? I've also heard that it is somewhat sgeregated. Is that true? I know it is diverse racially and ethnically, but do the people interact with each other commonly?

Lackawanna is from my prespective not coming from here is still a rundown town it seems to have some businesses towards the ridge road area that are fine but drive down ridge rd towards the lake and its all down hill from there. run down abandoned businesses nothing to speak of.

The areas of Lackawanna near West Seneca are fine..

There are some very gloomy areas of Lackawanna however.

Most of the mills were torn down years ago. A few things have popped up along the lake including "Steel winds".
