does anyone do this or know if it's possible? me and DH hope to one day move to Canada (Quebec) and thought since we live in Rochester, a move near Buffalo wouldn't be all that big of a transition, and may enable DH to work in Canada to help with the immigration process.

these are sort of long term goals, but we are just curious!

so does anyone know if it's do-able to live near Buffalo and work in Toronto area?

thanks in advance!

Well if you don't mind traffic congestion on the second busiest border crossing in the nation, and you leave for an hour and half to a two hour commute, and don't mind being patient, I suppose it is possible. As I do know a few that do so and actually enjoy the experience. Good Luck!

huuh. that is kinda a long commute... however doing some research, i've discovered Hamilton, ON. maybe that would make the drive time a little more bearable...

You could also investigate the option of taking a small apartment in Toronto, live there for the week, but come back to Buffalo on the weekends. I know some people who used to do this on the US-Mexico border.

Niagara Falls has much better public traffic connection with Canada than any other city.
