Haha..
Sounds like typical buffalo to me..
I'd bet that their ridership during sabres games drops off by at least half.
I can also see it hurting the bar district, or local restaurants downtown.
In the dead of winter, I like to go from the arena to near chippewa for a bite to eat or a drink after a game.
Them days are over, I'll just park near HSBC Arena, and drive to the suburbs for a snack..
Also the 70's paintjob needs to go. Makes the town look very dated.
Now is that fare cash only, or are they in the modern era of taking credit cards? If it is cash only, then that is another strike against the system, many people carry only cards.
Take a look at the light rail that they just put up in Phoenix. And people are actually riding it, not just bums and homeless..

No prob. It looks like buying the all zone day pass is worth the price.

Those are the rates effective Jan.1, 2009, so that will be the price, IDK what the changes will be when the 2nd increase takes effect in the summer.

90% of the construction costs were borne by state and federal taxpayers. The daily operation is highly subsidized too. Makes no sense.
