Well, national and local new stations frequently use dated, crummy, and un-inspirational pictures of the Queen City. If there is any way that we can make a difference pertaining to this matter - it would be very hard to reach that goal for sure.
It's a shame that whatever and whenever they say something about Buffalo that day (almost always BAD), they leave viewers un-ispired and depressed with poor images of Buffalo, NY. Where are the nice views? They all aren't from the lake that show just part of the skyline!
Its the same situation with Cleveland. If I drive through the city or do some touristy stuff, it really looks looks like a great city. There are probably some great areas to live in. But the media knows negetivity sells, and they always have to paint a picture somewhere.
So now some Joe in another part of the county, who has never been to the Northeast, what is he going to think?

Precisely. Negative negative negative. That's all it is these days. And, unfortunately the truth is - is that it won't change. Buffalo and other precious cities that we hold dear to our hearts will always be hidden gems of the country. Sure, reputation points for various north american cities may change or falter, but the sad truth of how many will always focus on the negative will never change.
It is the people that spread around better ideas and reputations of certain regions in which to live in. But even then, their opinions could be ignorant or inaccurate. It is always best to see for yourself and discover your city, where you can have a job, raise a family, or whatever floats your boat. There are so many inaccurate statements in this world - especially about Buffalo, that it would be near impossible to change.
But still...There is hope for this great american city, as we as citizens shouldn't worry about what others think or decide, because we know in our hearts that Buffalo is much better than it's bad rap. Time to move forward, though of course, as people and citizens of this region - we can take a stand and show the world that they are wrong, and that people shouldn't listen to such negative nonsense...or be like me, in whom I strive to increase people's knowledge of Buffalo...always reflecting on the positive and getting together ideas for how in which to make Buffalo a better place to live, and rid it from all bad rep.
We still have a chance to show the media how deeply they are wrong, and that their ignorance is leading to a corrupt system of lies.
Same thing when the Weather Channel comes to town.... ever notice they NEVER leave the airport area and only show whiteouts?
Just like today! They show nothing but whatever is close by and make the snow look like a whiteout from their distance. Gag.
