When looking at Google Maps, streets such as Norwood Avenue, Ashland Avenue, and even Richmond Avenue itself look too pleasant and beautiful to fit in the West Side, which does look rundown in many parts.

Ashland, Elmwood and Richmond ARE in the west side.

So yes, my opinion may not be worth as much as yours but it is what it is. If you know so much about Lovejoy maybe you should stop being coy and share it?

The last time I was there was a couple of months ago. What's your point? Has there been meaningful change since then? The only reason I threw that qualifier in was because I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the businesses I named have closed. I might hang out in Lovejoy more often, but the fact that everyone is worried about "the blacks" moving in makes me a little uncomfortable.
The blacks are already in...in the form of little white kids that emmulate them yet hate them....a curious type of hypocrites dont you think?

I haven't been to Lovejoy within the last 24 hours, so I really shouldn't give any opinions on the subject. I wouldn't want FedUpWNY to deconstruct my post again.

Where'd he go, anyway? I thought he was going to come back and give us the straight dope about the neighborhood?? He knows Lovejoy, man.

This map is awful. It has too many subdivisions. I like the other one much better.

It may have originated in 1968 but if you read the date at the bottom of the page, you will find that it was last updated in January of 2009 so it is still considered current by some people.

I was still hoping someone would come on and discuss or rank the different neighborhoods for livability beauty or something.

From what I've heard so far, North Buffalo, Elmwood, South Buffalo, Kaisertown, Riverside, Delaware District, Allentown and parts of Black Rock are fine.
