Default Akron?

Any feedback on the Akron area?

We are looking for decent schools, green space, a quiet, tolerant, family type atmosphere. We are, for the most part, priced out of Williamsville and Clarence.

Thanks.

I'm guessing that places like Depew, Holland, Angola(Lakeshore), Maryvale in Cheektowaga and the Iroquois districts might be more of what you are looking for.

The Akron area is nice, more rural than Williamsville or Clarence, but still with decent access to Buffalo.

Akron is a small town. You might call it "walking friendly" in the village and then driving out to the closest supermarket - Pixley's Shurfine. Nice library in town ( new). It is not really cheap, though as people are starting to move out and build that way ( yep, they still are). You might look into Lancaster village ( if you want walker friendly) or even Alden. Many older homes in Lancaster are fairly low priced. Alden doesn't have that many for sale often.
