Default $126 per day for a rental car from BUF??? Huh????

Flying in on 4/15 and leaving 4/16 and I'm not paying $125 per day. Any easy way to get to an offsite rental car location like subway or bus or anything???

And maybe this helps - there is an Enterprise rental near the airport but it's not the airport rental. The address is
Enterprise Rent-A-Car - Cheektowaga (Near Airport)‎
3700 Genesee Street, Cheektowaga, NY‎

Any easy way to get there from the airport?

That is about a minute and a half down the road. You can take a cab for under 5 bucks. There is also an offsite thrifty that is pretty cheap right on Genesee street too.

The shuttle is going to be for the airport Enterprise only. They won't take me to an off site Enterprise. The cabbie is gonna love me hiring him for a 3 minute drive!

I don't know where you're headed but there is a bus run by NFTA - an airport express bus - that runs between the airport and downtown including the bus terminal. You pick it up at the airport. Ask at the information desk. I've taken it before. It's not a bad deal for the $2.00 or whatever I paid.
I also rented a car offsite as at Enterprise. I took a taxi from the airport. It's really not far.

I usually start with a place like Car Rentals from CarRentals.com.

This way you can comparison what the companies are charging, then lowball them with a priceline offer.

BUF airport is somewhat Expensive, due to lack of tourism I suppose. We won't get the 9 dollar rates that I have paid at LAX, or the 15 dollar rates I've paid in Las Vegas, but I have seen them in the low 40's at BUF.

Off airport rental might be cheaper, i'm not sure if the airport throws in extra taxes.

Every time I go back to Buffalo, I rent with an off-site Enterprise office. I just returned & last week I paid $81 total for a 4-day rental. (with my Entertainment book coupon code.) Yes, you have to get to the off-site place. But the great thing about Enterprise, is that they ALWAYS let me return it at the airport.I'm sure you could get to an Enterprise office by bus. It's worth it. Whereas Priceline/Hotwire usually gives great deals in other cities, I agree with other posters that that's not the case in Buffalo.

My hub works for the airlines and were told Buffalo is the 2nd HIGHEST for airport car rentals in the nation!!!!!!!!!!!

We fly alot back and forth and I go through BJ's --they take 20 percent off or free day rentals too!!

I can go to Florida and rent a luxury vehicle sometimes for less lol!
