You got it mostly right. More jobs though reasonable taxation.
49 other states have lower taxes, we are now higher than NJ. I'm sure that we can figure something out. Let's start by cutting welfare and SSI.
If we are the highest taxed state, and we are, there have to be ideas that other states have implemented that can help us out here. I won't say I have all the answers, but ask about 49 other Governors and I'd say that you will get some good ideas.
I am truly hoping that Rudy runs in 2010, he's a smart guy with good ideas, and he is quite moderate or Liberal leaning socially, which gives him a decent shot.

Taxes, and weather, that's enough. Could have been a better place to live if!

As for Charlotte being a banking center, those days are over. Wachovia has been bought buy Wells Fargo and Bank of America, unless you don't read the news, is a zombie bank laying of hundreds of people in NC. You might want to update your knowledge of current events. Just a suggestion.

Agree, I live here and their all freaking out about their banks losing jobs.

BMD69 - I appreciate your comment. I didn't intend to be rude to Canerican but things in the Carolinas have changed so much in just a year. (I just wish I could've edited my message before I applied it (!?!)
For examplel, buy should be "by"
laying of should be "laying off"

No problem!
I still love the Carolinas, and won't be looking for a job until about February (I graduate in May). In the end I will live anywhere with the US that gives me a good job.
Just if I have two job offers and one is outside of New York, and is almost as good as the one in New York, I will take the other one.

Maybe that is why some people in Buffalo don't mind paying more. I mean, I guess if you really love a place you are willing to give up more - the only thing that I would never give up is my right to bear arms though, and that is what New York wants us to do.

Wow. Enthusiasm is what is lacking. If you want to see the negative you will see it. I have posted record sales this year in this so called ailing economy.

Enthusiasm won't bring our unemployment rate down from 9.6%, or our average HOUSEHOLD income up from $29,200.
Sure, there are success stories. There are everywhere, and I am truly glad to hear of others' success, rather than demise. But the truth is, that we have very little to be ecstatic about in this area. It has been going downhill, and I hate to say it, but our politicians (both parties) are really helping speed up the decline.
