Chosen Few Raid?
I came across an article. Apparently theres a biker gang in Depew - The Cosen Few? From the news article it was saying they're a volent biker gang, but then I came accross some posting from various people that gang memebers aren't really that bad?? Anyone know what esactly they were arrested for? I guess according to the article members of their rival gang - Kingsmen - were arrested as well. Can someone fill me in as to what happened. Is this something I should really be aware of if/when I move to Buffalo?

It has nothing to do with Buffalo ... it's in Depew which is 25 minutes away.
Resulted from an internal dispute between biker gangs.

Wow Depew too. It's a tiny middle class neighborhood, I have lots of friends that live there, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I have been out there at all hours of the night and always felt plenty safe.
Buffalo proper on the other hand, unless I'm in a crowd on Elmwood or Chipewa, I won't go out after dark. Fortunately I live in the suburbs.

Sounds like it's a dumb story, for sure, but Depew and Buffalo are definitely part of one community. 25 miles? From Depew to downtown Buffalo is about 9 miles; from Depew to the city limits is only about 4.5 miles. It's just down the street! (Walden ave).
edit: Whoops! I misread your post. 25 minutes does sound about right. Still, I don't think of Depew as some distant land that has "nothing to do with Buffalo."

That's only 'cause you don't know your way around the city.

Feds add to Chosen Few allegations; Kingsmen under investigation : Eastern Suburbs : The Buffalo News
It looks like the rival gangs were just shooting at eachother. I don't know why this story seems so interesting to me...I guess its cause we really don't have "biker gangs" here in Florida- that I'm aware of. So besides the fights between the two gangs what else happend? I want details! There are bikers who are your typical racist redneck "good 'ol boys" then there are the bikers that would suprise you - the more liberal open-minded kind of guys who don't **** with anyone unless you **** with them. So what catagory do these guys fall into?

In the context of op's question it really does have nothing to do with Buffalo.
If you were going to move to Buffalo would you really care that there was a biker gang fight in Depew?

I know I don't. But still, bad things happen after dark, and Buffalo does have a fairly high crime rate. I mean, I feel that as an upper-middleclass white guy that I would stick out like a sore thumb on West Delevan at 3AM, and probably get robbed.
The reason I probably feel this way is because I few of my friends have been robbed in Buffalo, including one of my friends who got jumped by about 10 thirteen year old boys on the train.

Don't know much about recently - but back in the day ...
Kingsman were hanging at Irv's Inn on Grants Street (they were in an alliance with Niagara Falls chapter of the Hell's Angels.
Chosen Few were at that time in an Irish pub on Broadway (down near Sobieski I think) They were warring with Kingsmen.
I hear they (the Chosen Few) moved out to Old Depew somewhere around Panora Street (might be spelled wrong) and Main (I am thinking it is near a bar what was called "Good Times"
