Independence day wedding proposal
I'm planning to propose to my gf of 4-years on independence day under the fireworks. Anyone has any good suggestions of places to go, somewhere with a waterfront and possibly room to set up a little picnic.

That made me chuckled a little. Well no one-titis, but this girl is "the one", and we went through many speed bumps along the way, and now that things are finally stabilizing, I would like to think that we will stay married.

I have no experience in proposing, but the fireworks are beautiful in Niagara Falls, I think that Delaware
park is nice.
For the suburbs, UB has a GREAT fireworks show over Lake Lasalle.

Niawanda Park, City of Tonawanda. Go early to get a spot for a picnic, fireworks on the river at about 9pm.

Go to Grand Island if you don't want crowds. But I mean, Niagara Falls is truly one of the most awesome sights in the world. I have seen most of the US, and I can honestly say that Niagara Falls is right up there, why not make a memory there? Not that it won't be memorable otherwise.
Good luck!

Dockwalliper has my vote, there is always grass free for a picnic, its right next to the water and the display is great at Niawanda

I agree with Mike and Dockwalliper -- always loved watching the fireworks from Niawanda. Or, you can go to the Holiday Inn on Grand Island and watch them from the other side of the river. :-)

Get a room at the Seneca Casino, they have one of the most elaborate firework displays I have seen in this area.
