Default Favorite park in the area

Hey all, I have 3 weeks of vacation (thank you HSBC ) coming up in a couple weeks, and am looking for some nice parks to go to. I am looking for uncrowded areas outside of the city. I have been to Allegheny a few times, and Letchworth more times than I can count, I am looking for something new. I am willing to drive about 3 hours (but not into Canada) to go somewhere. I am looking for a park with nice scenery, good hiking trails, and good XC biking trails (singletrack mainly). If there is a rifle range nearby that is a huge bonus, but not why I'm going.

Stonybrook(sp?), Watkins Glen Park? That's about all that's left within around 3 hours...

Both are excellent choices for someone looking for hiking trails!

warm heatherette is on a distinguished road
Ithaca is just about 3 hours away. Robert H. Treman State Park is beautiful, and there are other state parks nearby featuring the areas' gorges. Great scenic hiking. Not sure about the biking or rifle range.

Why not Canada? You can't beat Algonquin Park for everything you're asking for (except maybe the rifle thing).

Thanks for the advice.

I am not doing Canada because I lived there, actually about an hour and a half from Thousand Islands, Gananoque, etc. I find that Canada look very similar, maybe it's because I lived there, but I want to see new things.

Zoar Valley. Many are unaware of it, not too far south of Buffalo. It's a smaller but wilder version of Letchworth, great place for hiking but probably not for mtn biking, very scenic.
