It sounds like you guys know how to put on a 4th of July event. Here in orlando they put on fireworks at Lake Eola but we had to leave early it was just awful. The heat and humidy was bad enough but the mass of people crowded up next to eachother got to be too much. Its florida so its not the city's fault that it was disgustingly hot, sicky and humid out or their fault for the swarms of nats. But they section off a huge area of the grass for city officials. Area that would let us be spread out a little more but was being used by like 5 people.
Do you guys do beer tents? Ok ours isn't so much a tent as it is a coral. You could get beer at the event but you had to stay w/in the corral. We apparently can't be treated like adults responsible enough to handle a plastic cup of beer outside of the tent. So if you wanted a beer you had to leave your blanket/seat and walk around the lake to the otherside were the beer tent was and stand there while you finished your beer/wine.
On top of that it started raining so we left. Hope your 4th was better : )
