IMO cities south of DC & west of Chicago seem to lack the urban vibe. That's not to say they aren't vibrant in their own way but its just a different feeling you get on the streets of most cities in the northeast & great lakes region. To me you can feel the pulse/heart of the city much more & you have a much bigger sense of belonging to your neighborhood. Maybe it is because they are newer cities that lack the great architecture of the older cities though I'm sure the endless sprawl of cul de sac subdivisions have a lot to do with it as well. The only other places I've ever really felt anything similar was in NOLA & Austin, unfortunately Katrina hit NOLA & massive uncontrolled sprawl hurt Austin.

The truth really hurts you doesn't it?
Some guy comes on here and tells it like it is and you tell him to get lost.
Just keep everything status quo like it is now with no room for dissent ... sounds about right for Buffalo...
That's why people like you have voted the same corrupt *******s into office year after year.
Funny thing is you couldn't come up with anything substantial to debate his points because most if not all of them were spot on correct.

I don't agree with all of this. There are two sides to the Buffalo debate. I am obviously on the side that Buffalo has its foot on the gas in the wrong direction...
But you are right, we elect idiots, and act surprised when they act like idiots.

I have the same attitude, and live a very happy life, I am sure that she does as well. Perhaps she can confirm the happiness of her life?

How nice to ask!
I am happy with my life. I have beautiful children, a wonderful fiance, and love my job. I am lucky enough to have been totally involved with my children and their school. I volunteer so much their friends thought I was employed in the school. I do the bake sales, which I love doing. Also am room mom and get to plan all of the parties. I will be returning to school next year to persue a degree in another field I am interested in, medical.
Things I don't like about my life....My kids growing up too fast. But they have been wonderful children who have never given me any reason to doubt that they will be successful in life.
I also don't like that I am moving, but since I am in a relationship with someone I want to spend the rest of my life with and who has taken my children on as his own from day one, then this is something I should do for him.
I also can't stand my ex-husband, but that's why he's an ex.
There you have it, Happy old me!!! But we all have something in our lives that we're not too fond of. But that's life

I think the OP would like the places like Orchard Park, Hamburg, Lancaster, Depew and Williamsville, among others. It is not a bad area and there are things to do with the kids. Take them to Darien Lake, Niagara Falls, Toronto(which has Canada's Wonderland) and in Rochester, there's Seabreeze and the Strong Museum of Play, among other things. I think your kids might like it better than you, because there are things for kids to do in the area.
