Default Best place to do a kayak rental trip in WNY?

I'm coming up to visit a friend next weekend in Buffalo and we'd like to do a kayak rental on a lake somewhere. I was thinking possibly Lakes Canandaigua and Chautauqua would be in the running but don't really know where to rent from. Could anyone mention some possibilities please?

Thanks!

You might get more responses for Canandaigua on the Rochester forum & Chautauqua on the general NY forum from someone in the Jamestown area. In Buffalo I believe there is a place to rent them in Tonawanda near the Erie Canal. There might be one somewhere down near the Buffalo Harbor area as well (I've seen plenty of kayakers in that area anyway)?

Try kayaking the upper Niagara that would probably be an adventure.
