Where are Buffalonians fleeing to?
Theres been a rapid decline in the metro's population within the past few decades, where are Buffalonians migrating to? Where's the best place at the moment for jobs?
(Edit for the poll.. I meant EAST towards "Saracuse/Albany/Rochester")

To Charlotte NC, also know as South Buffalo here.
I'm trying to leave the area ASAP.

Well, Personally, I have been too and lived in Charlotte, NC and have been too and now lived in Raleigh and have driven to all sides of NC, up and down. It is all very nice , jobs here, (no matter what they say) and clean. Getting more progressive with things to do and people are very friendly. For example: when you go food shopping to Harris Teeter, the check out lady/male , if the notice you are buying lots of cans of sauce, they may comment and say "Oh are you making sauce today? This is how I make mine...". I find it very pleasant, myself.
With all that said I will be driving home July 16th because like Judy said "There is no place like home".

Definately out of state for this poll. I am sure there is a percentage that has gone to NYC, and some elsewhere in the state or north, but mostly I think people tend to head either South or West. Of the people I know who have left, the most popular destinations have been North Carolina and Arizona, with some others in Colorado, Missouri, and Florida.
I am sure there are more destinations... just check out which cities have been booming the last 10 years. Those are the places where jobs were most likely plentiful.

The poll should read "Where are the majority of Buffalonians fleeing to?" with an additional option that says moved and came back. I would have to say out of state as the majority, but I know some that have gone to Philly, NYC, Rochester, Seattle, Denver, Raleigh, Charlotte, Lansing, Albany, Richmond, Greenville, and Orlando. Really, you type in your career field into google, narrow down your choices and the sky is the limit.

We've been working on moving to Phoenix for the past year. Their job market is even worse than it is here, so I'll just live in my income property for another year

The hater patrol should be along any minute to tell you what a big mistake you're making. I wish I would of listened to them before I "fled" here
