I live in Hamburg NY, and I make authentic Sfogliatelle, and can ship. Some people dont like ricotta so I have been known to substitute Italian pastry cream.... but still delicious.
I'm a second generation Italian from Utica and have yet to find a place that beats the bakeries there. Aside from Florintine, which is very good, there is also Carusos bakery/Cafe, which has been there a long time. and the Cafe Canole, an extremely good bakery started by two brothers from the Utica. I believe one or both studied culinary arts in Italy. Dean Nole & Jason Nole, Culinary Chefs Fine Dining Restaurants in Utica, NY.
