Correct. Luxury boxes and corporate support are what keeps teams viable.
There is not enough corporate support in Buffalo to keep that team there, which is why they are reaching out towards even Rochester.

If you are trying to say St Paul is hockeytown but Bloomington (and Minneapolis) couldn't care less it really doesn't help the whole argument you are trying to make.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, okay, seriously. St. Paul is NOT a suburb of Minneapolis. Wow. You should just give up right there.
per MNS wikipedia:
"As is well explained in a 1993 Sports Illustrated article,[9] owner Norman Green was much reviled in Minnesota following the decision (due to poor attendance during a string of losing seasons, the failure to reach stadium deals in Minneapolis or Saint Paul, and a sexual harassment lawsuit against Green that resulted in his wife threatening to leave him unless he moved the team) to move the franchise. The Sports Illustrated article included a quote from North Stars booster club president Julie Hammond: "When [Norm Green] came here, he said, 'Only an idiot could lose money on hockey in Minnesota.' Well, I guess he proved that point."
How convenient of you to leave those two pieces out.
Bloomington is where the current Mall of America is today, and the very land it sits on is where the Met Center used to be.
The Met Center, despite it being a favorite for players and fans, needed to be replaced, thus Green looking but coming up short in the Twin Cities.

Actually, the Bills has support in area close by in PA, the Syracuse area, the Southern Tier and into Southern Ontario.
Also, if take the area it's fan base covers, I think they will be fine.
As for the Sabres, you still can't knock the fan support for them either. It would be different if Canada was further away, but to be honest, it is adjacent to the area and should be counted anyway.

Bills May Relocate after Bills Toronto Series: Ralph Wilson Seeks Financial Stability in Modern Football Economy | Suite101.com
In its NFL Team Valuations, Forbes.com noted that “over the past few seasons the team's small market and antiquated stadium have placed the Bills in the bottom third of revenue of the NFL.” Meanwhile, Canada's largest city and financial capital will have a big time chance to prove it is a more than capable adoptive home for this financial prodigal son of Mr. Wilson.
Sadly, the modern football economy has usurped the heart of the game. Buffalonians can sell out every game from here to the end of football eternity, but it’s the corporate sponsors that put down the money for the luxury boxes that keep teams viable.

Looks like LA got the go ahead for a new stadium ..........

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Thursday he had signed a bill allowing the construction of a 75,000-seat stadium that developers hope will lure an NFL team back to the Los Angeles area.

Majestic has targeted seven teams as candidates to move to the Los Angeles area: the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, St. Louis Rams, San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers.

I don't think the Bills are going to be the team because Ralph has said he isn't moving or selling the team as long as he is alive & I doubt the LA group is going to wait until he passes when they can grab a franchise like Jacksonville or St Louis right now. Jacksonville is losing serious money & everyone of their home games has been blacked out in the Jacksonville area due to poor attendance. The Rams are currently for sale to the highest bidder with no pre sale conditions attached to the sale (which means a new owner can potentially buy the team for the sole purpose of relocating it ..... with league approval of course).
The Chargers might consider it as they have been trying (to no avail) to get a new stadium for years. The fact that they would likely still be able to keep a hold on the San Diego market even if they move to LA has to be a positive for them.
The Vikings & 49ers might flirt with the idea but only to get new stadiums built in Minneapolis & San Fran (though the Vikings & Niners both bring in less revenue & are worth less than the Bills ..... which kind of amazes me).
I think there is too much bad blood between Al Davis & LA for him to even consider moving the Raiders back.

The Rams sem the logical choice to go home, just like the Raiders did when they went back to Oakland. Jacksonville is pathetic - 10,000 covered seats and still no sellouts. They also have smallest number of people living within 2 hours of their stadium - the only team in the league under 2 million
