I have some old ink that needs to get updated. I did a quick yahoo search thingy and didnt see many ink parlors. Was hoping someone could recommend a good parlor. Experience, safety and quality of work most important. Cost doesnt figure in this a whole lot.

I've seen a lot of Mark Madden's work (from Madd Graphix) & it is very good. Not sure what the rest of his artists are like but I wouldn't hesitate to get some work done by him. I've heard that you need to set up an appointment (sometimes several weeks out) to get to see him personally.

My sister went to HOD on Elmwood and they were very good. I can answer any other questions if you need more info on them.

I got my fourth tattoo done from ink spot tattoo ( Ink Spot Tattoo - Body Art and Piercing ) on Harlem road, Cheektowaga. Nice and clean place. A kid named Erik Sweeda(sp?) gave me good pointers, and dos and don'ts about design and color. That was nice since my previous tattoos were done almost bullied by other tattoo artists from other places. As if not knowing about tattoos were sin, the other guys gave me such hard times--jerks! Like they were too good for me and my money. I gave them my money and they still made me feel like crap!

Erik was bit strange kid, but at the end he did exactly what I wanted. He even covered up my 2nd tattoo and it came out very nicely!

Rise Above 2533 Delaware 875-1675 The owners name is Erich Foster and he is one of the most talented in the city. I have a full sleeve and chest peice (including a cover up) done by him which receive many compliments. He has a website I believe as well.
