which in upstate NY within 2 hours from Toronto, Canada is the best town for me to relocate to be near my boyfriend?
I am thinking of relocating from NYC area as close to Toronto, Canada as possible to be near my boyfriend. Unfortunately our current situation would not allow me to live in Canada and vice versa. So I am thinking about moving to as close to the border as possible within 2 hours of driving from the city of Toronto... The first and the foremost I need to consider to relocate is my first grader son's school and as a single mom, the safety of two of us... so could anyone tell me where would be the best for me to relocate? Thank you in advance

Maybe just outside of Niagara Falls. Try Grand Island, Wheatfield, Lewiston, Porter and maybe North Tonawanda. If you want Niagara Falls, go with the LaSalle and DeVeaux neighborhoods.

Just stay away from Niagara Falls!!!! It's a seriously dangerous place. Buffalo isn't safe, but no worse than most of NYC.

Lewiston is a really nice small town right on the Niagara River. If you are looking to be closer to a metro area the Tonawanda's or Grand Island may be more to your liking. Niagara Falls is a crime filled city but you would be fine in the LaSalle neighborhood.

Lewiston is very nice and seems exactly what you are looking for. Except it's a little on the pricey side and take into consideration what your taxes will be when buying. Same with Wheatfield and Grand Island.

I would personally recommend Wheatfield. Probably the nicest city along the interstate in Niagara county.
My favorite city in Niagara County is Olcott, just an amazing place to fish. Maybe has gone downhill some, but still probably one of the most charming cities in the area, and not expensive at all.
