Just in terms of test scores, Williston does not perform as well as the other schools in this county but it's still a big improvement from Portland. Housing in Williston is also very limited and the airplane/National Guard plane noise in Williston has been a real drag.
I've been in rush hour from Charlotte and Shelburne. Yes....it is bad....if you compare it to Vermont traffic....or other areas with little traffic overall. But, looking at it from the perspective of getting up at 3am to get into the city which is a 30 mile drive without traffic....vs, a probable 2 hour commute (which is pretty much the norm in the afternoon) I'd say that the traffic is minimal, almost nothing compared to northern Virginia.

By the way, there are definitely ways around Route 7 to get into Burlington super fast even during rush hour.

Yeah..as others have mentioned its traffic Vermont-style. Nothing at all like big city traffic. Spear Street will be your friend!
