Hoping some of you moms and dads could help me out on this one. We are looking for a daycare or some kind of childcare where we can drop off our son should I go into labor early in the next few weeks. I'm having my baby (c-section) and obviously my kid can't go in the operating room with me and my husband. And I'm sure Fletcher Allen doesn't have a daycare either, lol. Our family is coming up a few days before the scheduled surgery so we'll have someone to watch him then. We moved here several months ago so I don't really know of any babysitters or people to trust with our kid.

So if anyone knows of any 24-daycare or where I can find a good sitter please let me know. I guess somewhere near Fletcher Allen Hospital would be ideal; also Waterbury, Williston, or somewhere in that general vacinity would be great. Thank soooo much!

Until then, we're keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes as scheduled. But you never know with babies so we need our backup plan!

Have you seen the new website the Burlington Free Press put together for moms? You should definately check it out and ask this question there as well: GreenMountainMoms | Where Moms Connect
I can't really think of something off the top of my head unfortunately. Try calling the main number for the hospital and/or the volunteer desk and ask someone there. Also, maybe the University of Vermont has daycare that you could enroll your son for a few days.
Hopefully it'll work out and congrats in advance for baby #2!

I don't know of any 24 hour daycare areas, but you might try this. Don't know if they can offer anything:

Vermont Nanny Connection

Good luck!

Mike

P.S. - don't know why the link is showing up like that
