I am a recently separated woman thinking about moving to Burlington. I have 3 children, two in elementary and one in high school and am wondering what the school system is like there??
I have been to the area several times for the hospital and only saw a few restaurants and a hotel during my stay. I am wondering what it is like to live there as a single parent. I am receiving generous child support and my ex would be living about 3 hours away so not too far really. I hate the town I am in now, in Northern NY and Burlington seemed like a quaint yet thriving community ( from what I saw)
People were super friendly and for a small town it seemed to have a lot going on.
Is there a YMCA there?? Figure skating club? Dance classes?
Any help would be welcome!!! Thanks in advance!!

Burlington is a college town. My kids went to UVM and St. Mikes which is nearby. They loved the place and one still lives there. Lot's of outdoor opportunities with a great bike path, lake Champlain, and skiing nearby. Vibrant downtown with lot's of things going on entertainment wise.
Some of the neighborhoods are mostly college kids and can get animal house like at times but overall, from my visits and my kids tales, it really is a great place.
