There are obviously single people in your age group, but I would say the vast majority are married or have families. Vermont is after all a popular destination for families. I'm not sure what you mean by groups? If you are interested in sports, there are winter hockey leagues at the ice rinks and during the summer there are softball leagues in many towns. You will find most of these guys are usually married with families, but there is that aspect of social gathering. I have always found that the easiest way to socialize with people is to find clubs or organizations with the interests that I have. There are car clubs, music organizations, etc.

You might poke around the Meetup site to see if anything appeals to you. It's hard, I know. But (even though it feels like it), a couple of months is not really that long yet. Hang in there and good luck!

Like minded... like... what??? Vermont used to be a tough place to meet people who wanted to hang out. One of the best things you can do is take a couple night courses at UVM.

Are you single? If so... start looking for jobs out of state.
