Not looking for rent-to-own just month-to-month, thanks!

I have no idea. You can always call and ask.

I haven't heard of one.

I agree with you about Rent-a-Center. It's a disguised credit sale and a total ripoff.

I don't know what your circumstances are, but unless you are confronting major transportation problems I suspect that the rental of a washing machine and dryer would be a lot more expensive than just paying to go to a laundromat.

I agree with everyone else. If this was an economical option, someone would be doing it. The only places that I know of are Rent-a-Center and Aarons.

I'm currently renting a W/D from a local company for $20 a month which is added to my rent, but the company is only local. I was hoping there might be a similar option in Burlington but I guess not. The apt I'm interested in has hookups.

Typically you can find used washers and dryers for $100 or less (for both). Probably cheaper than renting even if they ended up dying. If you move and don't want them, you could put them out for free or sell them both for $50 or more as a set. We put a set on Craigslist about 4 months ago for $100. They were about 10 years old and they were gone within a few hours.
