How about researching the stances on those in Congress now who support giving Illegals amnesty (Bush and many of the top Republicans in the Senate), plus many of the Democrats.
Then research which Republicans in the House are against the amnesty and which Democrats are against it.
In November, make your statement by voting out those who support amnesty regardless of party and voting in or reelecting incumbents who are against amnesty. That should send a clear message. People tend to forget that these politicians are supported by tens of millions of dollars of corporate and private campaign donations. If they lose, that money goes to waste and those contributors will be a bit more careful going forward supporting those politicians.

momark, you made an interesting point. It's just hard to get people to follow on what your are trying to say. A lot of people dont even know the issues that their politician stands for. They just vote for the popular guy!!! Maybe if more americans educate themselves on politics we wouldn't have such a *****ed up country.

If you read the post correctly, it said that I'm tired of paying for those who dont pay their dues. I dont mind paying my share as long as everyone else is. Read the posts carefully.

I read it carefully enough and it's all bluster.
What exactly do you mean by "paying their dues"? So should mentally handicapped people be denied help because they haven't "paid their dues"?
I'm tired of subsidizing churches since they use public services and pay no tax. As you said, they don't "pay their dues".
We all gotta chip in to pay for things we don't like. So don't pay your taxes. Then I can complain about subsidizing your stay in the slammer.

OBVIOUSLY you still can not read the forums correctly! If you were to read every post you may understand what I am trying to say. So once again I will explain what you do not understand. I am not talking about the disabled (already spoke of in a post) I am talking about the people who are able to contribute but wish not to and those who can not because they are not legal in the US. Once again read!!!

Magpie, I will end on one more note then I feel I am under no obligation to answer any of your ridiculous statements. My husband and I have paid more towards taxes and charitable contributions through the years than you could ever fathom. We have put in our DUES and still plan on doing so. Maybe you are just one of those people who dont mind paying for those who care not to, not because they are unable to, but because it is easier to let others do it for them.
