Default Could it be different this time?

Materials and energy have led the markets for quite a while now.Is it just the value of the dollar or a true decoupling of the rest of the world from the US?Could the "New World Order" really be taking root and maybe turn the US into a export driven economy?

The US was never intended to be a market exporter under the NWO models.

It was the fantasy "big house" of the Global Plantation. All the "lesser" nations would provide their goodness to US, and we would provide bank, business, and other such "intellect" to them.

But it turns out our MBA-class leaders are among the dumbest.

Opps. Our bad. So long empire.

The US can't go back to an export country..we sent most of our manufacturing to third world countries. We are an import country as it's cheaper to make stuff outside the US so corporations get to keep more of the profits. We are a consumer nation..our buying stuff keeps the economy going. We stop buying and the wheels grind to a halt.

You see it happening around you..service/fast food/luxury industries are slowing down. The trickle effect from that is layoffs, bankruptcy and no business expansion.

yes, "We're a, a service economeh!"

I love the image of the Global Plantation!

Back in the Cold War days I used to imagine the US and USSR as two rival camp counselors playing Red Rover with all the hapless children

I won't argue the NWO's intensions, but increased energy and material consumption worldwide makes you believe the standard of living is rising woldwide, and that will eventually allow us to compete as an exporter.
Maybe an unintentional good.
