1) the problem is not that gas prices are too high. it's that they were too LOW for so long and we built our economy accordingly. it is our shortsightedness which built an economy relying on outsiders to deliver.

3) opec have been pretty accomodating by ramping up production recently another 500000 barrels p/day
4) with all due respect, if opec does have a tear to shed maybe it will be for the worlds poorest people. if you're on minimum wage you're not even close to being considered poor by world standards
5) can't afford the gas, get a bike, a bus or walk. that's how most of the people on this planet get around
