"The dollar will come around, it's all cyclical"

Please explain the fundamental that will cause this great shift.

JimmyP: Obviously you're a child who hasn't been around long. This is not the first or only time the dollar has been in the doldrums. All you have to do is study history. I've been around, I remember hyperinflation and hyperunemployment. I remember the dollar being battered. It came back. Apparently you don't know much about economics. In a nation as powerful and as dominant as the U.S., we will come back. It's the nature of anything in economics. Wait until the next administration. There are other pressures out there that will affect other currencies. Educate yourself. Don't be so quick to write off your own nation. Sheesh.

Most major currencies are down a lot from their peak in USD.

Euro: $1.49 down from $1.58
Can $: $0.93 down from $1.04
U.K. £: $1.89 down from $2.07
AU $: $0.87 down from $0.96

If you were planning to sell these currencies you missed some good opportunities. Maybe they will recover their strength again later, but I'm not so certain.
