American Media, how I hate thee
Okay,
This isn't a tin foil hatter's "the media is creating the economic downturn" non sense rant. I am talking about a issue European media reported on in America MONTHS ago, and American media ignorned. It is the phenomenon of tent cities popping up in America.
Well the other day American media FINALLY decided to pick up on this story. even if its just a handful of tent cities, this is ridiculous that people are going through this. This does happen all over the world BUT, that doesn't concern me as much. Seeing as how I live in America and my first concern is to the welfare of this nation. Anyway, read on link
I heard about this as well. My current locale is one of the cities listed! I read somwehere (can't recall) that many of these folks are immigrants. (?)

look at the first link I posted from the BBC news. Those are Americans
I also heard a report on NPR a few weeks back. They interviewed some school principles, superintendents etc. Said the level of homelessness amongst students has sharply increased as well. So this isn't a issue of immigrants, at least not from what I am seeing.
