Asians work harder and stick together. There's a lot of Koreans here and a few are my neighbors. Several have told me that they have their own financial system. They loan newly arrived Koreans the money to start businesses. Regular banks would never loan a new immigrant money.
As the business prospers, they pay back the money and it's loaned out again to new arrivals.
Can you imagine any other ethnic group doing this?

I ask this same question from a asian suite mate I had in college. He says that when they came to this country they had nothing and they thought of a free education was a foreign concept to them. Not to take full advantage of all the opportunities given to us was something he or his family could never understand. It was his duty to do the best he could in school and to represent his family. For him failure was simply not a option.

My observation is that Asian Americans seem "driven" or almost obsessed with being economically, socially and educationally equal to or superior to their white counterparts. I also believe Asians receive positive reinforcement, subliminal messages from American society, which further motivates them toward success. For example, During the 80's and early 90's, White America gave Asians the distinction of being the "Model Minority". Articles on this subject appeared in major newspapers, magazines and all major news networks. Even today, this label is still associated with Asian Americans. I believe positive labeling such as this and providing Asians with a "seal of approval" for success is a reason for Asian wealth and motivation.

If this is true then we need more Asian Immigration into America not poorly educated and motivated Hispanics.

I'm of a group that prefers studying over that piece of cow-dung called hip hop.

not really, just wondering why this has you upset to the point where you would try to tell someone what to do. They can post what they want, as can you.
