I am not stressed. Concerned, yes. Stressed, no. I am neither an optimist nor a pessimist.

I'm out of everything I want to be out of, but my pension plan has taken a major hit and I have friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbors who are losing their shirts. Some may soon be shirtless. Whatever will be will be, but it will likely be less. I find that a little disconcerting, so count me among the 8.

Not one of those 6. I think it'll end in a deep, dark recession, then we'll rebuild.

Of course, if you lose all of your money, then you might be in a personal depression, whether the whole country is or not.

I think we are a bit immune to the economic stress here in Texas. Our economy is expanding. Help Wanted signs everywhere. Only 2 houses for sale in our 550 home neighborhood.

There is no financing issue. If someone wants to buy the house who has decent credit and can actually afford it, they won't have any problems. Of course sales have slowed everywhere, now that they aren't giving rediculous loans out to people who can't afford them. My proof: I know enlisted military people who have been easily approved for homes in the 200's. In case you don't know, there isn't exactly tons of money in the military life.
