A holiday?? I work for a brokerage firm, it's business as usual on Monday. Well, aside from the massive 1000 point swings and outraged customers...

NYSE, New York Stock Exchange > About Us > News & Events > NYSE Calendar

Trading Calendar

Looks to me as tho the markets are open.

Canadian markets are closed for Canadian Thanksgiving.

While equity markets are open on Monday, banks are closed on Monday, so money transfers won't go through with banks, the US Treasury is closed on Monday, so government bond trading won't happen on Monday.

Nothing will settle on Monday. If you place trades for equities on Monday, their settlement will be deferred to Thursday. If you placed orders for options on Friday (10/10) those trades won't settle until Tuesday.
