I know too many people that are self employed, do not personally own property, simply file tax forms every year and don't pay their taxes... and function better than myself !

As you, I have been through the ringer with the IRS personally and business wise. I know the game very well. Even better, I was taught by the IRS how to play the game ! Exactly what it is too... a game.

I watched a close friend go through a criminal trial. Ya, he lost his case but it was one of the most educational events I have ever witnessed. From ALL my experience with the IRS I have learned what they are all about and that they ARE limited to what they can really do. They have boundaries they have to stay within !

I can now easily pick out those people that FEAR the IRS... I guess it's human nature to often fear things you don't completely understand.

There is a 10 year statue of limitations on an IRS lien. Now some states there is no statue of limitations, like California. But I find it easier to just keep up with paying my taxes each year. Not that I want to but makes sleeping much easier.

Most of us do , otherwise , the Government would have a real mess.
Withholding your taxes may be the last form of protest we have. If , people in mass did so , they could bring down a crooked and repressive Government. Its been done before. The Government will roll over , when the going attracts too much attention.
