News, Favorite passwords: "1234" and "password"
Better think twice before choosing a password for emails, online bank accounts and airline tickets.
Passwords that show no imagination or distinctiveness are easy prey for information pirates, a new US study says.

Yeah, well if you're that lazy to choose 'password' or '1234' as your password then it's no wonder if you got your identity stolen.
Problem is you have so many passwords and PINs these days. At work and in your personal life, it's hard to keep track of them all. And they all have different rules as the length and makeup of the password. At work they tell us not to write our passwords and user ids down, but everyone does. There are so many and they're all different formats. Add on to that all your home/personal ones, forget it! Literally.

I use the names of bars as my passwords. For some reason I have little difficulty remembering them except at around 11pm on Saturday nights

I created a script that creates a password for me at random. Yeah, I'm a nerd...
However, I've had the same one for 10 years and NOBODY can guess it because it's just a bunch of random numbers, letters, and symbols.
