No, it doesn't take all that much time prepare to some extent for bad times, not so we couldn't do anything else with out time.

It's a matter of warning people who are DGIs - who Don't Get It. If the message sinks in, then it may well save them from tremendous suffering or even death.

But it's not often that people take the message very seriously ..... it's like those people who live in hurricane country ..... unlike the approaching economic disaster, they know with 100% certainty that they will eventually be struck by a hurricane to the extent of losing power and thus refrigeration and airconditioning ..... tapwater will become polluted and unfit to drink, so they'll become thirsty .... the little food they have is in the refrigerator and will go bad before power is restored, and they will become hungry ....... and yet many of them still refuse to prepare.

But a few listen and take action.

Darn, I stopped selling those tinfoil hats at completely the wrong time..

Everyone just needs to step back and take a deep breath of lighten the f up.

It's not the end times, Obama isn't the antiChrist, nor is he the savior. He's a politician, same as those before and those that will come after.

Economies will rebound, gas will be $4 again, and civilization won't collapse.

Have a cup of warm milk, and take a nap, it will be better soon.

Now there you go, telling the Democrats that Obama isn't the savior. And here you are telling folks to have some warm milk and take a nap. You're gonna get em all riled up.

Seriously though, folks are scared. Their retirement money is over half gone (and they haven't spent it on booze, drugs, sheep farms in Idaho or anything - couldn't help it, sorry), their homes are worth less than what they paid for them, they know friends, relatives or neighbors that have lost their jobs and are falling behind in their mortgage and Credit Card payments. Stores that they used to shopping at are out of business. All they hear on the news is doom and gloom . So it's no wonder they're scared.

And the people who write this stuff get paid well to do it.
Oh yeah, I do have guns ammo, and food. But every time I dig in the ground, I keep hitting this thick black stuff. So I can't dig that bomb shelter.

Why are you posting here and not getting off "the grid" and busy building your bomb shelter, collecting your ammo, stocking up on canned food?

Hell man if I was sure of the apocolypse I would quit work tommorrow and buy a ranch in Idaho and raise sheep or something, or at least spend all the money I have left, since it won't be good anymore, on liquor and whores and buy a mass quantity of drugs and quietly wait out THE END in a zombied state. I am joking, but you get the point. Why are people posting all this and then leaving their normal life like I assume they are if they really believe all this?
First off most people can multi-task so who says they're not stocking food and ammo?
Second, your post sounds just like the people who lived in New Orleans before the storm hit. They just wouldn't believe it, hell the government didn't believe even when the dire warnings were coming in from the weather service the day before. Then BAM (to coin Emeril Lagasse) they were up to their eyeballs in alligators and sewage.
This time the government has been telling you we're in a crisis, that it's going to get bumpy and they have no clue how bad this will get or if any of this will work. You have Case-Shiller telling you the housing market is going to get much worse and many economists including Warren Buffet (who BTW said today our economy has gone off a cliff) and George ( Ultra left wing) Soros who say things are going to get much, much worse.
Crime (robberies) is on the upswing in many areas, tent cities are popping up and unemployment is rising as well.
So what kind of mallet do you need to hit YOU in the head before you take off the rose colored glasses and go "damn, maybe I should put on a parachute just in case the pilot can't pull this airplane we call the U.S. out of it's nosedive? Of course I guess you could always HOPE for the CHANGE you can BELIEVE in and not bother and hit the ground....

The fallout has not hit yet, but it will through the second half of 09 through 2011.. Obama is out back of the white house, pouring fuel on this fire, in attempts to put it out.

Couple this with a gang culture, Mexico collapse, Iran building up to 50 nukes, North Korea launching missiles that can reach the US, a ME, ME and ME mentality of the past generation, and we are entirely screwed.

When the economic system breaks all the way and the USA is done printing money, society will break down, unemployment will surge past 20% and our infrastructure will buckle. It is then, that you will realize, the end is near.

I really think we screwed ourselves this time, for real.

Count your blessings in these times as you can and hope you pass on before your brain washed or dealt with in many ways in the future. You haven't seen the effects of Beelzebub, Meat Girder Man and his slaves on the earth against disbelieving and prideful gentiles and Jews and what they do to most without pity or mercy on the young or old. You haven't seen anything yet.

I live in one of the most affected areas of the nation in this downturn, (Fort Myers Florida.) with 11.5% unemployment, and we know it is much higher than that. Things have been bad here for almost two years. It sure does not look like the end of times here. People are still living there lives, they just learned how to live with less. This area was known for excess, people living the good life on someone elses dime. Went to a hocky game the other night and it sure was not empty. The county fair looked pretty busy all week, I drive past it several times a day.

Like my mother always use to say to me, "Think positive, negative thoughts usually will end up in negative results". Relax people, we will survive.

Build a bunker. Or if you're into global warming theory, build an Ark. Rent movies like Mad Max, The Postman, Waterworld, Robocop, Escape From New York, or Planet of the Apes to get an idea of what to prepare for.
It is strange. We've seen countries with truly rotten governments like Iraq and the Soviet Union fall and embrace democracy to some degree, more or less, usually less. Now we're ready to trade in democracy and capitalism for a form of government these countries escaped from. Are we in the End Times or just in the insane times?
