Tip for Business Travelers: 50k Marriott points! (2009, credit, workers)

This travel blog called Boarding Area has a contest where they are giving away 50,000 Marriott Rewards points. If you're always on the road for business travel, you know that 50k points is a pretty hefty sum. At least a free night or two.

I'm not usually one for spending time on contests, but this one ends today (April 27th) and only 1 person has entered! So if you entered it, you'd have a 50/50 chance of winning the points.

It's my goal to make sure that someone from City-Data wins...so post below if you do.

Funny story, I was on a business trip in Buffalo before and we stayed at a Marriott. One day, as we were leaving for the parking lot, we noticed some film crews and were stopped by one of the guys. It appeared they were doing a photoshoot of the hotel to update their website and asked us if we were willing to be in their photoshoot and said they would credit each of us 50,000 Marriott points if we signed a waiver. We did, got credited the points in a few days, but they didn't use our picture for the site!

Just wanted to follow up on this thread, as the above contest is over but there is a new contest! The only difference is the prize - now it is a pair of "Down Alternative Eco Pillows." They are the sweet hotel pillows, which I've always wanted.

Btw danameless, that is hilarious! 50k points for being a model is a pretty good deal. Too bad it didn't get on the site--that would be great for getting laughs out of co-workers, friends, etc.
