My definition of greed is very simple. Greed is a desire for more...of anything ( good, bad, or indifferent ). And I'm not judging Greed to be either good or bad. It is simply human nature to want more.

I am not sure which realm of reality you exist in, but in the real world profit is always derived at someone else's expense. To put a moral judgment on it is juvenile. It is not good or bad, it just is. If a company makes a successful drug then people invest, which pushes up stock price and makes the company more profitable and empowers it to make more drugs which in turn saves lives.
That’s how free markets work. The alternative is what you have in third world countries where no one is prosperous and when there is an outbreak of disease, thousands die.

You are right! Capitalism has no moral stature. It can break or wreak a country’s economy by investing its money in other nations to make an extra dollar. So those who used to make a dollar now have only a dime. We have been seeing this for a number of years. It is not juvenile to make moral judgment since money is the root of all evil. Perhaps your heart has shriveled up and what is left is narcissism, which seems to be a common trait with many Americans these days. Just remember those who lost their jobs do not have the money to see a doctor since they no longer have health care.

. Capitalism has the perfect moral structure. The more you produce, the more you earn. The reason capitalism is no longer working in the U.S. is because it is not true capitalism. It is now a hybrid capitalism/socialism mix in which every aspect is artificially manipulated, by Banks, Big Business, and Government. In case you have not noticed the Chinese are doing very well indeed under capitalism. It is not capitalisms fault we have a corrupt government, a dysfunctional education system, and an ignorant, arrogant, lazy populous that do not do their duty as citizens.

The capitalists look for a way to generate profit from a situation..whether it be good or detrimental to society. They look at the business angle of things..not necessarily the moral angle.

Just look at the Pork Producers Industry and the airlines today amid the swine flu pandemic.
Rather than stop flights to contain the virus..they are reducing flights and advertising big fare cuts.
