Is it just me or is the government spending too much money
After reading an article from a college alumni magazine I found the government is spending to much money on programs set up to spend now and pay later. As a result, we will owe more money than the wealth found in all American Citizens even Bill Gates and that is not including the bill for the War on terror. Thus affecting small business and our ability to not only compete in global markets but to sustain employees in the coming years.

The government is spending money we don't have simply by printing more and more of it and selling it to the Chinese and Saudi Arabians. And the more and more money of ours that the Chinese have the easier and easier it is for them to undermine our markets and pressure our government. In fact, if Washington makes any foreign policy decision the Chinese doesn't like they can throw us into a deep recession simply by dumping dollars on the open market. Meanwhile, Bush keeps printing more and more money making us more and more vulnerable to an overseas government that does not like us.

Yes, the government has too much discretionary spending. But keep in mind the largest budget items are Medicare and Social Security… these plans represent a huge unfunded liability that dwarfs all other areas.

So many people are in a lot of debt over their homes and cars and are doing great, so why worry about the government in debt?

Stop worrying about the government over printing the fiat currencies. The fate of the dollar has already been set in stone and there is NOTHING you can do about it. Simply proect yourself and your family.
Either way we will end up paying through inflation and capital gains taxes. The only thing you can do to protect youself is to purchase hard assets (gold, silver) and avoid domestic assets (like a house which could be lost due to over taxation). Invest overseas in more stable industrialized countries.

The problem is that we keep electing and re-electing the same types of people. You know how most people vote - They vote for someone because they are the same religion, or the same color, or the same gender....
So, we have the same people in government for their entire life times - That is, career politicians. And, here I am talking about the fact that the Republican and Democrat parties have thousands of little soldiers that work at all levels in the party - From the small local clubs, up to the national level.
And, as rewards for their dedication, they get appointed to all types of government jobs at all levels, or they get nominated for all levels of elective offices - from the local school boards and town councils, all the way up to congress.
And, in many cases, these people have little or no experience in life other than being good and obedient party members. And, the party bosses and lobbyists tell them exactly what to do, and what to vote for.
Thus, we are pissing away money on too many government agencies, too many projects of little or no value....And, life goes on...
And, hey!...These idiots get involved in all types of scandals, and in trouble with the law...And, we re-elect them anyway!...So, we have someone in the Senate that otherwise would be serving time for manslaughter, a drug addict re-elected to be mayor of a major city, and a bunch of others at all levels that take bribe and kickbacks and still get re-elected....But, what the hell!...It's better than having one of those other types - You know, a different nationality, or color, gender or religion...They won't look out for us - Not our single important issue...They'll only be taking care of their own kind, no matter what they say...Right?
You're worried about your future?....Join a local political party and get involved...It's the only way we'll get control of this country again...By getting involved...
And, if you don't think that you have time to get involved, or you don't think that your involvement will make any real difference...Fine,...Then just shut-up and sign the check!
