i would like to say thanks to all who have replied with info as to how and where to find the cash im looking for to start up my bike shop......137 people have looked at my request for a loan and id like to say that if 20 people would loan me $1000. each i would have the funds to begin my dream.....im a jouneyman machinist i also do cad/cam and im a certified welder.....i owned a machine shop in michigan for 6 yrs until i divorced.....ive been working on harleys since the age of 16 when my uncle gave my my first bike and that was 29 years ago...........now i build my own frames, tanks, fenders and fabricate anything else i can to build my own bikes......i wish that there were 20 people out there to help me get started and in return not only will i guarantee there money back within 18 months they would also gain a true friend.....thank you for your consideration

Seems strange to me that you persist in asking for money despite all of the good advice you've received.
Wouldn't most of you think this is a red flag?

Ellie i would explain to people then since you feel this could be a red flag that when i owned my machine shop i made 80k a yr.....after my divorce and the selling off of my machine shop its been hard to find a job that pays that well for a self taught person in the trade......now i make around 45k a yr and since 2001 when i sold and divorced ive gotten behind in some bills so my credit score isnt the best.....i am currently working on improving that score i am also working with the local chamber of commerce, my local bank and they are submitting my plan to the SBA but the time it takes to work with the SBA as everyone knows who has worked with them is long and thats costing me time so i feel its easier to work with a private source for this loan.....i hope this will explain my situation to all that read your post

I got your business plan and passed it on to hubby. I know he's very busy selling a house in Salisbury,NC. This week. He will certainly be interested in helping. I like your idea of 20 people putting up $1000. each. That sounds very workable. You need to post what you will pay and at what time payment will be received. I'm thinking can you pay 20% on the money and you hold it 18months. And, if you need to hold longer --- you list your penalty. This is just my suggestion. I'm sorry if this was in your plans. I didn't have a chance to review them myself.
