Buy an old pickup truck with a trailer, a riding lawn mower, some gardening tools, and print up lots of flyers. That way you can start a lawn service.
I'm not kidding you. Mow three yards a day for $100 a pop, with other fees tacked on for ancillary services. Once you have a steady clientele, hire p/t workers while you handle the back-office stuff.
A friend's son does that. Made $20,000 in a summer, and was pretty much done by 2 every afternoon.
I actually thought of doing that before BUT here in Southern California the illegals have the lawn service market cornered and it is so competitive. No way you'll make that money here. I'm sure that in other parts of the country that can be achieved. Anyways, your initial operating costs can be low if it's just you and you already own a truck. Having insurance and a business license would be recommended and if things take off think about incorporating for protection.
Likely it would have to be a service compnay but that normally requires trnspostation and often a van or truck plus alot of equipment. 30K doesn't go far.It definitely has to be a business one knows alot about because otherwise its on the 90% list that fail first year.
Another thought--Go to college or back to college to specialize in some field. For instance, community colleges offer all sorts of specialized degrees (e.g., ultrasound technician; EKG tech, etc).
Here are some possibilities. It's going to depend on your area, or
your target area, if that is adjustable.
1. Offer to deliver your sales to the customer. There is $$$ to be made this way.
Actually anything to with deliveries is a decent money maker. Most people who own lawn tractors don't own a trailer to transport it to be repaired, and having the dealership do it for you can be quite expensive. Anything having to deal with hauling heavy bulky items that can't fit into a car would be great if you could call someone with a truck/trailer service. Personally I would have happily paid to have something hauled for me, but I really don't know who I would call.
you start with virus remuval, data resrotation, antiviruses, etc
try to start providing some service and get income from this instead of investing all money into something (like buying a restaurant)..
