To gain website traffic, the best and easy way is to maintain social media profiles like: Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram etc.
It best to make profiles of your business in these social sites. And reularly keep on updating and adding new content in these sites, so that more and more people follow you.

What's most important is knowing your customer. Then, and only then, can you expect to engage them properly.

So true! More traffic isn't necessarily the answer. You need TARGETED traffic, especially if you're paying for it.
